Nestled on 240,000 acres of organically certified sheep, goat and irrigation country, Kallara Station draws its life‑blood from the Darling River.
In 2024, the station completed installation of a modern, self-cleaning cone screen on their pump site. This upgrade not only safeguards native fish populations but also delivers uninterrupted water supply for both irrigated crops and the station’s livestock.
The screen will protect around 20,000 native fish per year, delivering up to 66 ML per day of cleaner water.
